Dr. Natasha Jaskiewicz, DC
A passion for horses and health is what eventually led me to a career in Chiropractic working with animals. The Animal Chiro has been serving a variety of large and small animals from the family rabbit to animals who compete internationally in Upstate of the Carolinas since 2008.
I got the horse bug at an early age caring for and riding any pony or horse that nobody else wanted to ride. I never outgrew that bug and took an equestrian career path by attending the University of Findlay and receiving a B.S. in Equine Business Management with a minor emphasis in English Riding/Training. Some of my most memorable times in the horse program involved starting racetrack bound 2 year olds under saddle, working green horses over fences, and early morning IHSA practices.
While managing and training for a large eventing farm outside of Houston, Texas, I was introduced to Animal Chiropractic and was amazed by the effect it had on horses. Chiropractic care allowed the horses to use their bodies more efficiently by being able to move more balanced and free. Not to mention the horses were happy to go to work. This had such a profound impact that I soon decided to dedicate my time to helping animals and their owners reach their full potential.
The American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) was founded in 1989 by Dr. Sharon Willoughby, DVM, DC, with the purpose of establishing standards of education and practice in the field of animal chiropractic care. The AVCA only offers certification in Animal Chiropractic to licensed Chiropractors and Veterinarians, who in turn must satisfy continuing education requirements in order to maintain a current status. The Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC) is the primary national credential for this field in North America. More information about AVCA doctors can be found at AVCAdoctors.com.
I received my Doctorate from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in South Carolina, and I also continued with post graduate training in Animal Chiropractic at Parker University College of Chiropractic in Texas which led to becoming certified by the Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC) of the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.
