Chiropractic: It’s Not Just For Humans

Chiropractic care is not only an all-natural approach to health for humans, but can greatly benefit animals as well. People have been going to chiropractors for years for a variety of reasons including improved sports performance and movement, increased resistance to disease, improved posture, better adaptation to stress, and wellness without drugs. Chiropractic care addresses the ability to function and maintain health, not symptoms.

So why is it important to have your spine checked and adjusted?

Humans and animals that have healthy spines are free of interferences, experience a better quality of life, move more efficiently and are balanced.

Imagine this: The skull and spine (made up of 24 moveable vertebrae) house and protect the most important system in the body called the nervous system. The nervous system is made up of the brain, spinal cord, plus all the nerves that branch off the spinal cord between each of the vertebra. This network of nerves communicate with everything in the body.  The nervous system controls every cell, tissue, and organ as well as all the functions we don’t ever have to think about such as digestion, breathing, and heart rate. If there is interference anywhere along this communication pathway, this causes dysfunction, and can eventually lead to disease, pain, fatigue, poor balance, muscle weakness, immune suppression...the list is endless.

Chiropractic care focuses on restoring the body’s ability to function at its optimal potential by using gentle adjustments to correct imbalances that interfere with the nervous system.
